Tim and Kari Willoughby

Tim and Kari Willoughby have been serving with BMW since 1987 in the country of Uruguay.  Tim served in Uruguay a number of years before this with his first wife Joellen.  However, after two years in Uruguay it was discovered that Joellen had cancer which she battled for another year before passing away.  Tim and Kari planted a church in the city of Minas and during those years raised three children, Joel, Jonathan, and Lauren.  During those years Tim also helped train men and women for the work of the ministry in five different cities in the Eastern part of Uruguay.

In 2014, Tim & Kari moved to Tala, a town 50 minutes from Minas, to start a new church planting effort.  They have called this the Route 7 Project since it involves working at planting churches in a number of towns along Route 7 in the middle of Uruguay.  Tim also teaches in the FEBU Bible College (Facultad de Enseñanza Biblica del Uruguay) and participates in guiding this institution as part of the administrative committee.
